Shoot once, use everywhere: the multi-format production playbook

The expensive mistake in production is rarely the shoot day itself — it's booking a day for one film that could have produced a quarter of content, then never cutting it for the formats you actually publish on.
Plan deliverables before the camera
Decide up front that the day must yield the hero film, vertical cuts, six-second bumpers, stills and sound-off versions. Capture is then designed backwards from that list, not salvaged from it afterwards.
Protect the expensive hours
Celebrity and crew time is the costliest line in the budget. A tightly directed schedule built around the shot list is what turns a single premium day into weeks of usable assets.
Deliver a library, not a folder
The output should be an organised, versioned asset library with usage windows attached — ready to feed TV, OTT, performance and social — not a drive of raw files someone has to decode later.
